Bloomsbury Children’s is launching a new app to accompany the release of the Spy Toys series, written by Mark Powers and illustrated by Tim Wesson.
The Spy Toys app, created with digital publisher Shoofly, is a free app that encourages players to help ‘Dan the Bear’ escape the toy factory rejects pile. He must jump over obstacles and on the conveyor belt, using rubber ducks to bounce.
The app available now to download from iTunes, ahead of the launch of the first book on 12th January.
The Spy Toys book is about a manufacturer who makes toys for the rich and famous. Dan the Bear has unusual physical strength so is thrown in the reject pile. There, he is recruited by the mysterious Auntie Roz to form the ‘spy toys’ along with a doll called Arabella and a robot rabbit named Flax.
