Bloomsbury buys Who's Who publisher


Bloomsbury's successful &pound;16.44m all-share offer for A &amp; C Black has been met with approval by the trade and investors. The offer, which values each A &amp; C Black share at 1025p, represents a premium of 136% over A &amp; C Black's closing price of 435p per share. The bid is more than double A &amp; C Black's sales for the year to end-December 1999, which were &pound;7.9m. A &amp; C Black will continue to be run as a separate business unit.</p><p>
