Bloomsbury aims to aid independents

<p>Bloomsbury is allowing its reps to set promotional terms at local level with independent booksellers, with the aim of helping them run multibuy offers.</p><p>Bloomsbury UK sales director David Ward said the "chains were the three-for-two kings", and that discounts for independents aiming to introduce multibuys would enable them to compete.</p><p>The publisher has set up a page on its website specifically for independents, with information about featured titles and upcoming events from Bloomsbury authors, as well as a discussion board.</p><p>Bloomsbury is offering its 140 direct independe...
