Bookouture has snapped up more titles from Tracy Bloom and a debut from Sarah Mitchell.
Jenny Geras, publishing director at Bookouture, acquired two more books from Bloom as well as book club novel The Lost Letters by Mitchell. Geras acquired World English rights in Bloom's Dinner Party and No-one Ever Has Sex at a Wedding from Madeleine Milburn at the Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency.
Geras said: "We’re so delighted to have two more books from Tracy. Dinner Party is classic Tracy: hilarious, high concept and unputdownable and I know that all of her fans will be thrilled to have another instalment in the No-One Ever Has Sex series."
Bloom said: "I am delighted to be publishing two more books with Bookouture given the rigour and professionalism they apply to digital publishing. It will be five years this year since No-one Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday became a no. 1 bestseller and it makes me so happy that the first characters I ever created have proved to be so popular."
Dinner Party will publish in September 2018, with No-One Ever Has Sex at a Wedding to follow in March 2019.
Geras also acquired world English rights in debut novel The Lost Letters and a second novel by Mitchell from Veronique Baxter at David Higham Associates.
The Lost Letters is an epic, multi-generational love story, about a woman mourning her father’s death who finds a stash of letters to a mystery woman, and leaves Canada to travel to the Norfolk coast to find out the truth about her father.
Geras said she had been searching for a book like Mitchell's for "as long as [she] can remember".
"The Lost Letters is a sweeping and heartbreaking story of love and friendship which will appeal to fans of Victoria Hislop and Kathryn Hughes", Geras said. "Sarah is the most wonderful writer and we are thrilled to have her on the Bookouture list."
Mitchell, a barrister, added that the deal was a "dream come true".
"I am delighted to be joining a team with so much energy and expertise and am deeply indebted to my wonderful editor and agent", said Mitchell. "I really hope my readers enjoy the book as much as I enjoyed exploring the kinds of secrets that lie in the past of so many families."
The Lost Letters will publish in August 2018 with a second book to follow in February 2019.
