Blackwell’s has joined the Association of Business Schools as its first corporate member.
As part of its membership to the ABS, Blackwell’s will be able to take advantage of free sponsorship of one ABS event a year and receive a 50% reduction in published exhibition fees for all other events.
Professor Angus Laing, chairman of the ABS and dean of Business and Economics at Loughborough University, said: “We are delighted to welcome Blackwell’s as our first corporate member, ABS is moving ahead and repositioning itself as a global hub for business schools, encompassing stakeholders and international schools into the fold.”
David Prescott, managing director of Blackwell’s Bookshops and Online, said that the company was “continually striving for new and innovative ways to support that customer base".
“Our membership of the ABS will allow us to voice the recommendations and concerns of those partners in the provision of print and digital content with a view to influencing policy and technology in the Business and Management Education sphere,” Prescott said. “We very much look forward to working with them.”
