Big Read plans gather pace

<p>Libraries and reader development agencies are assembling ambitious plans to capitalise on the BBC's "The Big Read" project.</p><p>A consultation meeting hosted by the BBC this week heard that the corporation was keen to work with the trade and reader development teams to broaden the reach of the project.</p><p>"The Big Read" will launch with a 90-minute prime-time programme on BBC2 in the last week of March, preceded by trailers due to begin broadcasting shortly.
