Better terms not the answer

<p>As frustrating as I find it to see the supermarkets and online retailers selling the latest releases at near half price, I don't believe publishers should offer independents the same terms simply in order to level the playing field for us to compete. Where else in the retail sector would suppliers give the best discounts to accounts with the smallest turnover? It's easy to argue that indies have cultural and social worth, but that doesn't mean we have a right to exist. </p><p>To help independents survive in the longer term, publishers could easily, I would have thought, add money-off vou...
