Sarah Benton has been appointed as the new marketing director for HarperFiction, following the promotion of Adam Humphrey to the role of marketing communications director.
Benton is currently head of marketing across print and digital at Hot Key Books, where she has been since the company launched in 2011. During her time time there, she worked on strategy for authors including Dawn O'Porter and Sally Gardner. Before Hot Key Books, Benton worked in children's marketing at HarperCollins, working with authors such as Darren Shan and David Walliams.
Humphrey, who appointed Benton, said: "Sarah is a stand-out marketer who combines big-picture thinking with terrific communication and leadership skills. She is going to be a real asset to the division."
Benton said: "I am sad to be leaving behind the team we built at Hot Key Books, and so proud of what we have achieved together - but I'm incredibly excited to be returning to Harper for a new challenge."
