Abrams & Chronicle is to publish the "definitive" book on fashion designer and artist Anna Sui. The book, to be written by Tim Blanks, will feature Sui's own self-designed printed textiles, moodboards, sketches and personal photography. Naomi Campbell will write the foreword.
Eric Himmel, editor-in-chief at Abrams, acquired world rights to The World of Anna Sui directly from Sui.
The book will accompany an exhibition of the same name at the Fashion & Textile Museum in London, opening on 26th May 2017 and running until October. Both the exhibition and tie-in book will focus on Sui’s signature rock-n-roll romanticism, her "constant reinvention of pop culture", and "how her design universe changed fashion history".
Himmel said: “Anna Sui is a leading American fashion designer whose creative process is revealed in this richly illustrated, intense book. We are thrilled to be publishing The World of Anna Sui and to tie in with the Fashion & Textile Museum exhibition.”
The World of Anna Sui will be published by Abrams & Chronicle on 30th May priced at £30.
