Beautiful Books buys Parkin memoir

<p>Independent publisher Beautiful Books has signed up artist and author Molly Parkin to write her memoir of life in London during the &#39;60s, &#39;70s and &#39;80s. </p><p>Publisher Simon Petherick bought world rights to<em> Welcome to Mollywood</em> from agent Laura Morris, and plans to publish this October &quot;in a variety of simultaneous formats&quot; including hardback, audio, e-book and video. Parkin will also be filmed reading the whole book, and this will be made available as a download. </p><p>Beautiful Books said the memoir would include &#39;appearances from her famous lovers&quot; - James Robertson Justice, John Mortimer, George Melly, Bo Diddley - as well as &quot;stories of her drinking days with Francis Bacon at the legendary Colony&quot; and her friendship with fashion designer Zandra Rhodes. </p><p>Petherick has also acquired Parkin&#39;s backlist - 10 erotic novels - and is planning to start republishing them next year in &quot;a striking new design format&quot;. <br /><br />&nbsp; </p>
