Alice Bartosinski is joining Nosy Crow as senior commissioning editor for Picture Books in October.
Her appointment follows the August departure of Miranda Baker, senior editor for Picture Books, who is moving to Devon.
Bartosinski, currently senior commissioning editor at Simon & Schuster, will commission and edit picture books on Nosy Crow’s growing picture book list.
Her arrival will bring the total number of staff at Nosy Crow to 44.
Louise Bolongaro, Nosy Crow’s head of Picture Books, said: “I am so pleased and delighted to welcome Alice to the Picture Book List. She has an innate understanding of how picture books work and this, combined with her flair as a wordsmith and brilliant author care, makes her the perfect editor. I can't wait to properly welcome her to the team.”
Bartosinski added: “I am very excited to be joining the stellar picture book team at Nosy Crow, whose ambition and drive is second to none. I’ve always admired Nosy Crow's commitment to creating the very best books for children and I can't wait to get stuck in.”
She will start on 15th October.
