BA Conference: Butscher calls for an end to 'self-destruction'

<p>Stephan Butscher, m.d. of strategic consultants Simon Kutcher&amp;Partners, joined the fray in a further session on price by urging book retailers to recognise the "value drivers" of their products, and resist unnecessary discounting.</p><p>"This self-destruction has got to stop," he said. "The book industry is the only industry in which the best and most sought after products are offered for the cheapest prices."
