Author groups thriving as safe havens for writers

Author groups such as Killer Women (pictured), The Prime Writers and The History Girls can help writers find new ways to connect with readers and provide them with a “safe space” to socialise and talk about the publishing process, authors have told The Bookseller.

Two new groups for authors have recently emerged: Killer Women, a collective of female crime writers; and The Prime Writers, a group for authors whose début was published after they turned 40. They join more established collectives such as The History Girls, a group of 28 historical fiction novelists who run a blog together.
