Aurum Press has signed a book on the changing world of fitness by journalist Daniel Kunitz.
Why the Pain, What the Gain? CrossFit, Obstacle Racing, and the Pursuit of Extreme Fitness explores how people have moved away from expensive gym memberships to focus on gruelling activities like Tough Mudder and military-style boot camps.
Kunitz is the editor-in-chief of Modern Painters, a former editor of The Paris Review, and a contributor to Vanity Fair, Harper's and New York Magazine. He competes in fitness challenges in his spare time.
UK and Commonwealth rights were signed by Robin Harvie from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein, of behalf of Edward Orloff at McCormick & Williams. It will be published in summer 2015.
