Michael O’Mara Books is expanding its publishing programme by launching a new audiobook list for key titles.
Produced in-house, the audiobook titles will publish simultaneously with hardback releases. Nicki Crossley, senior commissioning editor at Michael O’Mara Books, will project-manage the list, supported by UK and export sales director Rumana Haider and Victoria Haslam, international and digital sales assistant.
Haider said: “As we’ve seen from countless industry reports audio downloads are the fastest growing sector of the industry. With our strong list of bestselling non-fiction titles, we look forward to expanding our publishing programme to include this format.”
The new venture will start with How to Behave Badly in Renaissance Britain by historian and TV presenter Ruth Goodman, publishing on 5th April 2018 and will continue with Ruth Goodman’s self-narrated book, Andrew Morton’s Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, narrated by Charles Armstrong, which will be released alongside the hardback on 12th April 2018.
An audiobook of Hot Flush: Motherhood, the Menopause and Me by singer and TV personality Michelle Heaton, narrated by herself, will follow on 3rd May when it will be simultaneously released alongside the hardback.
Michael O’Mara audiobooks will be available from all major audiobook retailers, including Audible, Kobo and iTunes.
