Head of Zeus imprint Aria has bought two more books by gang-lit author Heather Burnside.
Aria Fiction editorial director Hannah Smith acquired world English from Jo Bell at the Bell Lomax Moreton agency. The first title in the new deal, Amber, will be released in e-book early in 2021, with Sapphire to follow at the end of 2021.
Burnside is the author of nine books centring on Manchester’s criminal underground. Both new titles are part of her series The Working Girls.
Smith said: "Heather writes incredibly gripping, gritty novels: each character has so much depth that you can’t help put completely empathise with the women in each book. I am thrilled to be continuing The Working Girls series with Heather and bringing more brilliant books to her fans."
Burnside, whose latest book Crystal is out in June, added: "I am really excited to be signing up with Aria again. They are such a dedicated, hardworking team and so good to work with. I hope my readers will continue to enjoy these last two novels in The Working Girls series."
