Arcadia Books has bought a thriller set in the world of Formula 1 racing, originally published by The Hanbury Agency’s White Glove programme Moreton Street Books.
Driven by Toby Vintcent was the only work of fiction on the shortlist of the New Writer Award at the Cross British Sports Book Awards, the winners of which were announced this week.
Arcadia acquired world English rights to Driven for an undisclosed sum from The Hanbury Agency and Moreton Street Books.
Piers Russell-Cobb, of Arcadia Books, said: “It is a thrill to publish to the widest possible public such a highly crafted novel. The sales of the Moreton Street Books edition indicate that there is an eager readership for this new genre. It is a book that has all readers hooked from the moment they begin and will appeal to speed-freaks, F1 fans and to anyone with an interest in fast-paced writing alike.”
A B-format paperback of Driven will be published on 2nd July to coincide with the Silverstone Grand Prix weekend.
