APSBG Report: OUP and Blackwell's Broad Street sweep awards

<p>The final day of the APSBG conference saw Blackwell's Broad Street flagship store picking up the award for booksellers' year-round service to publishers.</p><p>The award last year went to Foyles, which had been kept from the top spot in 2004 by Blackwell's Oxford flagship.</p><p>Second to Broad Street was Hammicks Legal in London. But John Smith's was judged best chain overall, overtaking Blackwell's.</p><p>More than 200 different shops were rated by 17 different publishing companies in the battle for best bookshop, presented by Hodder Education m.d.
