Alex Antscherl will join Hachette Children’s Group as editorial director for Enid Blyton this August, where she will be responsible for developing the Blyton brand.
Antscherl joins Hachette from Penguin Random House where she was executive editor for children’s fiction, working with Jacqueline Wilson, the Roald Dahl Estate and Dennis the Menace. She has also held publishing roles at HarperCollins.
She will report to senior publisher Anne McNeil, who said: “I am thrilled to welcome Alex Antscherl to the Hachette Children’s Group. She will help us drive the Enid Blyton brand forward and curate the publishing as we continue to grow sales of this extraordinary author.”
