Andersen Press has moved its yearly celebration of children's book brand Elmer the Patchwork Elephant to an online event.
The event, which is usually held in bookshops, libraries and nurseries, will take place on 23rd May via the publisher's social media accounts and YouTube channel.
All the activities are free to access.
The day will include a video of illustrator David McKee reading Elmer, in addition to singer Rita Ora and actor Nathalie Emmanuel reading a selection of the books for Save the Children's Save the Stories campaign. An activity pack for children will also be available on the Elmer Day website, promoted by anti-bullying charity Kidscape, which has made its weekly activity pack a celebration of Elmer Day.
