Anne Louise Fisher to retire

Anne Louise Fisher is to retire from the scouting business she founded just over 30 years ago.

Catherine Eccles, who has worked alongside Fisher at Anne Louise Fisher Associates for the past nine years, will take over the company with immediate effect.

The firm, set up in April 1983, will be renamed Eccles Fisher Associates from 1st May 2015, and Fisher will retire fully in June.

There will be no other changes to the company, although a new member of staff will be recruited in due course.

The firm’s clients include Doubleday and Random House Children’s Books in the US, Mondadori in Italy, Companhia das Letras and Objetiva in Brazil, and Penguin Random House in Spain and Portugal.

Fisher said: “I could not be happier and feel confident that I leave our wonderful publishers in very good hands." Eccles said: “Working alongside Anne Louise has been a huge pleasure, I will miss her and feel very fortunate to be continuing my work with exceptional publishers.”
