Angry Robot is launching a website for fan-generated content, inspired by the science fiction publisher's books, with plans to publish anthologies of the best work.
The site, www.worldbuilderonline.com, will go live in the autumn, and Empire State by Adam Christopher, set in an alternate-reality New York, will be the first book readers will be encouraged to generate content around. The content can be stories, but also songs, poems or artwork.
The publisher intends to collect the best work in anthologies, with plans to publish two or three collections in the first year. Submissions which appear in the anthologies will be paid.
Editor Lee Harris said: "There are some extremely talented creators in the fan community, and they already produce some excellent work. We hope they'll embrace WorldBuilder as much as we intend embracing them."
