Successful football coach Carlo Ancelotti is to write a management memoir for Portfolio Penguin.
Quiet Leadership: Winning Hearts, Minds and Matches will be published in spring 2016.
In Quiet Leadership, Ancelotti will reveal the full story of his managerial career - his methods, mentors, mistakes and greatest triumphs. It will also address the characters, challenges and decisions that have shaped him. According to Penguin, the book is both a “scintillating memoir” and a “rare insight into the business of leadership.”
The book will be co-written by Chris Brady, director of the Centre for Sports Business at Salford University and author of the 90-Minute Manager, and Mike Forde, former director of football operations at Chelsea FC and now consultant to NFL, NBA and MLB teams in the US.
Ancelotti has won football’s ultimate prize, the Champions League, a record number of five times – twice as a player and three times as a manager twice for Milan and once for Real Madrid. He has coached clubs including Parma, Juventus, AC Milan, Paris Saint- Germain, Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Joel Rickett, publisher of Viking and Portfolio at Penguin Random House, signed world rights directly from the authors.
Quiet Leadership will be published on 26th May 2016 by Portfolio Penguin.
