<p> is shutting distribution centers in three states in the US, and will lay off or transfer to other nearby facilities about 210 employees, reports the Wall Street Journal.</p><p>Amazon said it was closing the centers in Munster, Ind, Red Rock, Nev, and Chambersburg, Pa, to balance out its operations. &quot;We continue to evaluate the network and all parts of the business to make sure we are positioning ourselves for future growth,&quot; said company spokesman Craig Berman. </p><p>The 215 workers at the three warehouses slated for closure will get a minimum of 3 weeks severance pay, according to Amazon spokesperson Patty Smith, who said &quot;eligible&quot;&nbsp;workers will be offered the chance to transfer to other US distribution centers. </p>
