Amazon wants 'all businesses to survive'

It is in Amazon’s “interests" to "treat suppliers well” but the company should communicate with them better, Amazon’s head of public policy for the UK & Ireland has said.

Speaking at The Great Business Debate at Birbeck College in London yesterday (2nd July), probing whether big business benefitted at the expense of small business, Lesley Smith, director of public policy for Amazon UK & Ireland, said the e-commerce giant worked with "tens of thousands" of small businesses in the UK and that it was “through working together with large and small businesses that we have been successful.”
