Amazon.co.uk has launched a service allowing customers to trade in old textbooks in exchange for gift card credit on their Amazon account.
The UK e-retailer is allowing customers to send textbooks to Amazon free-of-charge, but they must feature on a specified list of 22,000 titles.
John Gahagan, director of books at Amazon.co.uk, said: “Textbooks are amongst the bestselling titles on Amazon.co.uk but many people only use them for a set period of time. Now, with the Amazon.co.uk Trade-In Programme, customers have a great way to exchange unwanted items and save money on future purchases.”
The company also revealed textbook author Richard Parsons is its bestselling writer of the year to date.
