Amazon planning physical stores in Germany

The announcement that Amazon is getting closer to opening physical stores in Germany has put a dampener on the Christmas spirit among many booksellers and retailers in general. Ralf Kleber, c.e.o. of Amazon’s German operation, has confirmed in an interview with daily newspaper Berliner Morgenpost that the matter “is not a question of if, but when”.
