The Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) will host a one-day fringe festival for authors following this year's London Book Fair (LBF).
The LBF Indie Author Fringe Festival will take place at Foyles in Charing Cross Road on Friday 17th April, and will be held in association with IndieReCon 2015, and London Book & Screen Week, a five-day programme of events around the capital coordinated by LBF.
Sponsored by Ingram Spark, the festival will feature panels, debates, and one-to-one sessions for ALLi members, with speakers including Porter Anderson, Toby Mundy, Joanna Penn and Orna Ross. The first half of the day will be open to ALLi members only, while the second half will open up to all writers and readers.
The festival will form part of IndieReCon, a global online conference for authors, which takes place from 15th to 17th April, and will be streamed online as part of the conference.
ALLi founder and director Orna Ross said: "ALLi launched at The London Book Fair in 2012 and I am so pleased that, three years on through London Book & Screen Week, produced by The London Book Fair, we are able to offer dedicated programming for independent-minded authors interested in self-publishing. This festival, and the IndieReCon Online Conference, is an exciting new way to celebrate and educate author-publishers - and connect them to each other, to other parts of the publishing industry including bookshops, and, most importantly, to readers."
Tickets for the day will cost £75, but will be free to ALLi members and people with LBF tickets.
