Anthony Horowitz virtual book launch: Alex Rider goes live

Anthony Horowitz will be hosting a virtual book launch for his new novel, Nightshade, the latest release in the Alex Rider series. The launch will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday 2nd April.

Horowitz will be live streaming the launch on YouTube, which will include the author introducing the new book, reading an extract and answering lots of questions form the fans of the series.

Walker Books will be collecting questions from Twitter and Facebook in the lead up to the event and fans are welcome to submit questions to Horowitz using the hashtag #AlexRiderLive.

Nightshade is the 13th novel in the Alex Rider series. Alex is sent on a special mission by MI6 to infiltrate a new organisation known as Nightshade. MI6 has learned that Nightshade is recruiting and brainwashing young people to enact ruthless crimes all over the world, and only Alex Rider can stop them.

This year also marks a celebration as Walker Books celebrate the 20th year of Alex Rider. Twenty years ago Horowitz asked himself "How might you reinvent James Bond as a teenager?" And the answer delivered the first novel Stormbreaker. According to Walker Books, the adventure series has now sold over 21 million copies in 28 countries.
