Accent sells US rights to The Chronicles for 'substantial sum'

Accent Press has sold North American print rights for sci-fi and fantasy series The Chronicles of St Mary’s by Jodi Taylor to Skyhorse Publishing Inc. for a "substantial sum".

Skyhorse intend to publish the first books in the series soon in order to release the seventh title, Lies, Damned Lies and History, simultaneously with the UK in May 2017.

Founder and publisher Hazel Cushion said: “We think that Skyhorse will be a wonderfully fitting home for Jodi Taylor’s groundbreaking time travel series and are very excited about this new partnership.”

The deal was done in conjunction with Accent Press’ recent six-figure deal with Start Media, who now own e-book rights for this territory.

Skyhorse Publishing was launched in September 2006 by Tony Lyons, former publisher of The Lyons Press. Skyhorse, with its one dozen imprints, has a backlist of over 6,200 titles, including a number of New York Times bestsellers.
