Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nuhayyan presided over the ceremonies to kick off the week-long event, which "senior UAE officials, Arab and foreign diplomats including Kuwait Ambassador Faisal Al-Mesh'an" will attend.
Sheikh Abdullah told reporters the fair provided "an ample opportunity for the visitors to learn about diversified cultures" as well as "increase growth opportunities in the regional publishing sector and inspire more people to enjoy reading", KUNA said.
Kuwait is represented at the fair by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL).
