AA to change comp tie-in after winner disqualified

AA Publishing has moved quickly to correct the digital version of its book Landscape Photographer of the Year: Collection 6, after the original winner of the prize was disqualified by the judging panel.

The tie-in title had been printed and distributed before the decision was taken by the prize judges to change the overall winner. The original winning photograph, by David Byrne, was disqualified because of a breach of rules relating to the extent of digital manipulation used.

The next print run of the book will include the new winning image (pictured) by Simon Butterfield at the start of the book, replacing Byrne's image. Butterfield's image is featured on page 127 of the current edition.

AA Publishing has already corrected the e-book version of the book, and has posted information on Amazon and on the AA Publishing website to inform buyers of the change.
