Seven Dials has acquired The Dirty Diet: Ditch the guilt, love your food by Kate Harrison, bestselling author of the 5:2 diet series.
Amanda Harris, publisher of Seven Dials, bought UK and Commonwealth rights to the book from Araminta Whitley at LAW. The book will be published in paperback on 31st May 2018.
Following on from Harrison's 5:2 series, which according to Seven Dials has sold over 500,000 copies, the new book will include a four-week plan combining "the latest weight loss science with tasty, satisfying meals in a plan that you can stick to for life", promising readers they can forget "faddy foods" and fill up on "proper grubby meals" instead.
The diet's premise says readers can enjoy five "guilt-free ‘dirty’" days and two plant-based "Green" days per week to lose weight and feel healthier in the space of a month.
Harrison, a self-confessed yoyo dieter in the past, offers the plan as a remedy to the "unscientific and preachy ‘clean eating’ approach" she said many have become tired of. She has authored 16 fiction and non-fiction books all together, and has 55,000-strong Facebook following.
"I am so thrilled to continue our hugely successful publishing programme with Kate. Her 5:2 series has now sold over 500k copies, and counting," said Harris. "Kate’s understanding of what dieters need to succeed is second to none. She informs, supports, and lives her books. The Dirty Diet will be a surefire bestseller as it contains a unique new eating plan, combining gut health and intermittent fasting for sustained weight loss, with a strong time promise."
Seven Dials will publish The Dirty Diet on 31st May 2018.
