Books about canines and coffee were the biggest foreign rights hits at the Taipei International Book Exhibition, according to the influx of UK publishers keen to capitalise on the burgeoning market in the Far East.

The event, which opened on 5th February, saw the Publishers Association (PA) return to the fair for the first time in 18 years, bringing with it a delegation of 10 exhibiting presses, who braved the icy temperatures and a major earthquake in a nearby city to trade there.
