Ross reigns for sixth successive year as Paker, Parsons and Abbott make gains

Tony Ross pictured once again reigns atop the annual illustrator sales ranking, as he and his long-term author collaborator David Walliams were responsible for the three bestselling illustrated children’s books of 2020. Code Name Bananas, released just ahead of Lockdown 2.0 in November, and Slime, published in the infant days of Lockdown 1.0 in early April, claimed the top two spots, with July’s The World’s Worst Parents in third. Ross, with 24 ISBNs in the top 1,000, has topped the annual illustrator chart in every year since its inception in 2015.
