Hachette, Hodder and Curtis Brown all once again top The Bookseller’s league tables in a second look at the British publishing rights deals landscape.

The Bookseller began compiling a database of the acquisitions it has reported in print and online at the beginning of 2017. The timings for the charts featured on this page is March and April, a crucial window which covers the heavy rights-trading period (or, perhaps more accurately, rights announcements period) during the London and Bologna Children’s book fairs. In total, The Bookseller noted 278 deals over the two-month window.
