Few incoming chief executives can have had as strange an induction to a new business than Carsten Coesfeld. He took over from Ian Hudson as the head of DK on 9th March 2020. Ten days later, with the keys to his London apartment ready for collection, he returned to Gütersloh, Germany, as colleagues across the world headed to their homes and adapted to the lockdown.
