It was almost a publishing version of a football swap deal. Last year Suzie Dooré, who had spent a decade at Hachette’s Hodder, joined HarperCollins to become publishing director of two-year-old imprint The Borough Press. She succeeded Borough’s Katie Espiner, who crossed the Thames to become Orion m.d.
