Emma Corfield-Walters’ childhood dream was to own a bookshop. But she ended up as a chemist running her own surveying business. But when “I glanced at my conference namebadge and saw that it read ‘Emma Corfield-Walters: Special Science Advisor for Welsh Assembly: Asbestos’, I thought: ‘This is not me, this is not who I am.’” She sold up to follow her dream, on one condition: “I knew the bookshop could only be in Crickhowell.”
