Caroline Sanderson finds a packed roster of books commemorating the First World War centenary

It is difficult to think of an anniversary that publishers have more wholeheartedly embraced than the centenary of the First World War.

A keyword search through Nielsen BookData reveals that there are almost 1,000 titles themed on the Great War to be published (or republished) over the next 12 months.
And this is just the start. Almost half of the titles mentioned in this preview are publishing this autumn, and there are books coming out right through the actual anniversary year of 2014, and...
