May 2019 New Titles: Fiction Previews

May is another busy month for débuts, not quite as packed as April perhaps but still plenty to choose from. My particular favourites include my Book of the Month The Farm by Joanne Ramos (Bloomsbury), Rosie Price’s What Red Was (Harvill Secker) and The Doll Factory by Elizabeth Macneal (Picador).

Very excitingly, Thomas Harris returns with Cari Mora (Wm Heinemann), his first thriller in 13 years which pits a ruthless criminal against the resourceful and iron-willed young woman of the title.
