May boasts a dizzying lineup of big sellers, not least a new Tom Gates hardback. Liz Pichon’s much-loved series continues to delight; expect this to be another chart-topper. Jacqueline Wilson and Rick Riordan are other hardbacks to look out for and a slew of my 2017 favourites come into paperback: Cressida Cowell’s The Wizards of Once, Frances Hardinge’s A Skinful of Shadows and Release by Patrick Ness.
