June 2020 New Titles: Fiction Previews

Welcome to June, and some real bookseller favourites. First up is the new Elena Ferrante, entic- ingly titled The Lying Life of Adults (Europa Editions). Unfortunately, despite the UK publisher’s best efforts, reading material wasn’t ready in time for this preview
so it’s a One to Watch but given Ferrante’s track record, I’m sure this will be wonderful. The same goes for the new David Mitchell, Utopia Avenue (Sceptre), an excellent-sounding tale of a Brit- ish band emerging at the end of the 1960s grappling with the dark side of fame.
