June 2019 Children's Previews

I’ve seldom seen a theme embraced by publishers quite as heartily as the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing. From picture books to non-fiction, literally dozens of space titles were submitted this month, in addition to a pretty hefty output through the spring.

Aspiring astronauts will be inspired by Look Up! from new picture book pairing Nathan Bryon and Dapo Adeola or Ken Wilson-Max’s Astro Girl. In non-fiction, DK’s SuperSpace offers a definitive guide to the science, while The Usborne Book of the Moon explores humanity’s fascination with our celestial neighbour.
