April 2018 Children's Previews

I’m sure April was a quiet month once upon a time, post-World Book Day, pre-Summer Reading. Not so these days. In fact, quiet months seem to be a thing of the past in children’s publishing. I don’t keep a tally but the first months of 2018 are the busiest start to a year that I can remember. The market may be buoyant but competition is absolutely fierce, right across the categories. In April, my submissions pile
