From the publisher

Our authors come to you in a new series design from this September.

The design concept is simple: it’s the words inside that matter.

After a development process with design proposals from four designers on three continents, And Other Stories’ vision has been turned into a work of beauty by Brazilian designer Elisa von Randow (Alles Blau studio).

We wanted to make books as lovingly crafted as the words you’ll read inside. The colour is dyed into the paper, so it won’t scuff like most book covers, which are normally printed on white card.

The cover card is G . F Smith’s Colorplan range, made sustainably at the James Cropper paper mill in the Lake District; the inside paper is FSC-certified paper from a low-carbon European paper mill; the foil is biodegradable.

We hope this design goes some way to reflecting the heights these authors’ books will take you to.

Enjoy,

Stefan Tobler: Publisher, And Other Stories
