However, two years later and Lucy, now aged 16, has walked away from her career, following a death and a betrayal, leaving her ten-year-old brother Gus to shoulder the family's expectations. However, when Gus gets a new piano teacher, who is young, kind and interested in helping Lucy rediscover her love of piano things starts to change, though Lucy has to battle to learn to play just for herself.

Hill said: "Following on from the critically-acclaimed How to Save a Life, we're absolutely thrilled to be publishing this remarkable glimpse into the glamorous and high-pressure world of top-level music competitions from the incomparable Sara Zarr."
