Xcite to launch "one-stop shop" for romance

Accent Press imprint Xcite Books is launching a "one-stop shop" for romantic and erotic e-books and audio formats.

The site, www.erotica-romance-ebooks.com, will launch on 1st March and replaces Xcite's three current sites serving the UK, US/Canada and Australia/New Zealand markets.

Hazel Cushion, Accent Press managing director, said: "Developing the site has been a major commitment for us but we believe there's great potential in selling our titles alongside those of other publishers and authors. There is such a breadth of range in the romance and erotica genres that offering a one-stop-shop makes a great deal of sense." The imprint reported a nine-fold increase in e-book sales in 2010.

Publishers and authors can upload their content, set pricing and view live sales stats within their own content supplier account.

Content partners will be able to access the customer base of the three markets, and will receive 60% of all sales. Authors can upload content onto the site providing their work is ISBN registered, and are also able to promote themselves with their own information page.
