Wolfson History Prizes to Harries and Walsham

Susie Harries' Nikolaus Pevsner: The Life (Chatto & Windus) and Professor Alexandra Walsham's The Reformation of the Landscape (Oxford University Press) have each won £25,000, sharing this year's Wolfson History Prize.
The annual prize from the Wolfson Foundation celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
The winners for 2012 were announced at a reception at the National Gallery last night (8th May). The 2012 judges were Sir Keith Thomas, Professor David Cannadine, Professor Richard Evans and Professor Julia Smith.
