W&N to publish new Bernhard Schlink
08.05.12 | Charlotte Williams
Weidenfeld & Nicolson has acquired a new title by the author of The Reader, Bernhard Schlink.
Editor Sophie Buchan bought UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, in the title Summer Lies, through Suzanne Smith at Knopf Doubleday, US.
Buchan said: "We're delighted to be publishing a new book by one of Europe's finest and most important storytellers. Summer Lies is a searing meditation on the mysteries of love, an utterly gripping book which, like The Reader, presents the human heart in all its complexities."
Weidenfeld & Nicolson will publish on 13th September as a £12.99 hardback and as a £6.99 e-book.
